Minerva: Swatch Quilted Wool Pillow

Hello there! I’m excited to share today about a project that is not a garment. I decided to make a pillow for my sewing chair and use wool batting for the cushion. As I predicted, as soon as I finished this project, one of my cats has claimed it.

I love the design aesthetic of the Alison Glass Swatch, quilt pattern. I also enjoy the color palettes in the Art Gallery Fabric, fat quarter bundles. I combined both of these elements together into the free Purl Soho, Linen stacking pillow pattern.

This was a fun and really functional project that I will enjoy sitting on at my sewing machines. Wool is a special fiber to enjoy with batting. It’s warm in the winter and lighter weight wools are cool in the summer.
