Hello!! I’m very excited to share with you about a new dress that I’ve made. The fabric is called Babelone Art print and is an exclusive new rayon challis fabric from Minerva. They are branching out to their own fabrics, collaborating with artists for the designs.
I used the Montavilla dress pattern for this project by Sew House 7. I’ve made this pattern a few times (you can find my other versions as previous versions on my blog) but I had not yet made the maxi length version of this pattern.
The dress includes pockets (deep pockets, I might add), a belt, and a unique dart construction along the shoulders.
I LOVED the blues and reds together in this print along with the sketched brushstrokes. Wearing this dress makes me feel like I’m wearing a piece of artwork. Check out the links below for lots more details including mods that I made to the pattern (just for fun):
