Here are two Christmas-related bento recipes from Wendy Thorpe Copley, from her book Everyday Bento. If you like that book, be on the lookout, as Wendy’s new book with Tuttle, Fresh Bento: Affordable, Healthy Box Lunches Your Kids Will Love, will be releasing just in time for back-to-school 2021.

In her upcoming book, Katie Chin’s Global Family Cookbook, chef and author Katie Chin collaborated with a few celebrity friends including Faye Levy,  prolific cookbook author and lead cooking columnist for the Jerusalem Post. Faye contributed recipes for the Hanukkah section of Katie’s new book. The kugel recipe below, which makes a delightful dairy entree for Hanukkah or Shavuot, originally appeared in Faye’s book, 1,000 Jewish Recipes. This would also make a tasty brunch dish – anytime of the year!

For our origami friends, here are easy step-by-step instructions to fold an origami Christmas tree provided by Yuki Martin, author of the award-winning Super Cute Origami. Once folded, they can be decorated in all sorts of ways, so have fun!

I hope you all have enjoyed this post and have fun with the book samples! Take care.
